A Fabulous Journey to Hill Station

After a long time, keeping aside the fear of Corona pandemic, we had finally decided to go for a long trip in the last part of October'21. We zeroed upon the beautiful Himachal Pradesh. More specifically we included Dharamshala(Mcleodganj), Khajjiar, Chamba and Dalhousie in our itinerary. The pick-up and drop points were from Amritsar Airport and Amritsar City respectively on 22nd. and 28th October, 2021, as we wanted to stay one day in Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and Wagah Border before our return on 30.10.2021. When we checked for online cab/taxi service to cover our tour itinerary, we were initially disappointed on two counts. The Dharamshala-Dalhousie packages appeared to be quite expensive while on the other hand there were many critical reviews. After a little more search to get a suitable transport partner for our trip, we came to know about the Himachal Taxi Rental Service. From the very beginning, the way its executives and specially Mr. Pankaj (Pankaj ji) - helped in planning the tour without imposing themselves upon us, offered a moderate and reasonable rate for a quality car (Swift Dzire) and always assured us about unfailing service - built up our confidence slowly but steadily. The initially appointed driver had to be changed due to his preoccupation with some urgent family matter but the change did not affect us in anyway. The pick-up from Amritsar Airport, transfer to Upper Dharamshala Hotel, sightseeing and onward transfer to Khajjiar, Chamba and Dalhousie and finally drop at a hotel nearby the Golden Temple in Amritsar were done by our guide-cum-charioteer Shri Mintu (Nitin) Kapoor with professional ease. We had our share of inclement weather in Dharamshala for a whole day. But, due to his planning we did not miss much of our itinerary. All through the trip we and our driver wore masks in deference to the Corona Protocol. We thank wholeheartedly our transport partner, M/s Himachal Taxi Rental Service, for the reliable cab service provided during our tour making it a success.
